This weekend training focuses on teaching the new Webelos Leader how to prepare for, plan and run a quality outdoor event for Webelos-aged Scouts. This course requires an overnight stay.

Wood Badge
Wood Badge is a supplemental training program for all Adult leaders in the BSA. It is intended to increase leadership skills for Leasers in all parts of the Scouting program. It has been developed for Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Varsity Scout and Venturing Leaders, a well as council and district leaders. Its focus in on leadership, not outdoor skills.

The Wood Badge program consists of two parts - practical training and application. The practical leadership experience is gained in a training setting where leadership skills can be learned and practiced. At the conclusion of the practical training, each participant makes a commitment to complete a set of personal goals related to their Scouting position. In this way, the Wood Badge experience contributes to a stronger unit, district or council, as well as provides an opportunity to practice the leadership skills learned on the course.
