Our Purpose
The purpose of the Otetiana Council is to carry out our mission by making the Scouting program available to all youth through chartered organizations who use Scouting as one of their own programs.The council had more than 24,500 registered youth participants and 5,000 adult leaders at the end of 2003.

Our Mission
The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Our Vision
We will be the premier provider of youth service programs and life experiences that teach the necessary leadership skills, values, and ethical standards, which allow each youth to reach his/her full potential. In doing so, we will strive to be recognized locally by our community, and nationally by other councils.
